We are excited to welcome back Connor Fields, you may remember him as “Joe Crowell Jr./Si Crowell” French Creek’s recent production of Our Town or as “Conrad Birdie” from True North’s production of Bye Bye Birdie.  He will be playing Phineous Trout in our production of Willy Wonka opening this Friday.

Tell us a little about yourself?

Connor is currently a student at Brookside High School. Recently, he was Scarecrow in The Wiz, and Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie. He won an award for the role of Jack in Into The Woods! He would like to thank everyone for coming out tonight, and his mom for allowing him to live his dream every day!

Although the odds are nearly impossible, it’s Charlie Bucket’s dream to find a golden ticket and win a tour of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.  What’s your “golden ticket” dream?

My golden ticket dream is to be on stage and do what I love to do, but also have enough money to provide for a family.

Charlie Bucket’s family barely gets by living in a cramped house with both sets of grandparents, and they all still wear smiles. What’s it like at your home? How do you and yours make it work?

I think I could speak for any family when I say you get into arguments, but at the end of the day you love each other.

Willy Wonka is all about the candy. What’s your favorite?

My favorite candy has to be Spree’s

The show is about Willy Wonka finding the right person to pass his candy-making legacy to. What do you want to be your legacy? How will it be carried on?

I want my legacy to be an actor.  My legacy can be passed down by my son or daughter.

The children in Willy Wonka all have their flaws that get them booted off the tour of Wonka’s factory.  What weakness of yours would get you kicked out of the chocolate factory?

I would totally try to get all the chocolate and while I’m at it, I would take an Oompa Loompa.
