We are excited to welcome back Cara Myers, you may remember her from her role in the ensemble of True North Cultural Arts’ production of Jesus Christ Superstar.  She will be playing Violet Beauregarde in our upcoming production of Willy Wonka.

Tell us a little about yourself?

Cara is a seventh grader at Olmsted Falls Middle School. Cara has performed in local theater for the past four years. Some of her favorite shows include A Christmas Carol (Great Lakes Theater), Willy Wonka (Brecksville Theater on The Square), Beauty & the Beast (Mighty Goliath Productions) and anytime she gets to perform in a show with her dad and brother.  Cara’s favorite theater experience was being a part of the National Tour of Ragtime during her fifth grade year. Cara would like to thank her family for always supporting her dreams.

Although the odds are nearly impossible, it’s Charlie Bucket’s dream to find a golden ticket and win a tour of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.  What’s your “golden ticket” dream?

I would want to have a farm with lots of animals

Charlie Bucket’s family barely gets by living in a cramped house with both sets of grandparents, and they all still wear smiles. What’s it like at your home? How do you and yours make it work?

I love my family and we always laugh.

Willy Wonka is all about the candy. What’s your favorite?

Gummy Bears!!!

The show is about Willy Wonka finding the right person to pass his candy-making legacy to. What do you want to be your legacy? How will it be carried on?

Kindness to animals and writing songs.

The children in Willy Wonka all have their flaws that get them booted off the tour of Wonka’s factory.  What weakness of yours would get you kicked out of the chocolate factory?

I would probably eat all of the candy of stray from the group.
